Hayley Williams paid tribute to the late Sinéad O’Connor at her Dublin solo show on Tuesday. Williams covered “Mandinka,” from O’Connor’s 1987 debut, The Lion and the Cobra. She introduced the song by dedicating it to “queen Sinéad O’Connor.” O’Connor was born in Dublin and died in 2023.
The Dublin date was the final European stop on Williams’ tour for her 2025 solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. Since the tour began in the U.S. in March, Williams has played Ego Death in full each night and added a few covers. She plays the Newport Folk Festival on July 24. In September she starts another U.S. headlining run called The Hayley Williams Show, featuring songs from all three of her solo albums.
