AUDIO: Megadeth’s David Ellefson Teases Cover of Post Malone’s ‘Over Now’

Post Malone has dipped his (presumably tattooed) toe into the rock world on numerous occasions, so what would it sound like the other way around? Megadeth’s David Ellefson is offering a look at that with his cover of Post’s “Over Now.”

The cover is being released under Ellefson, the Megadeth bassist’s sideband which features vocalist Thom Hazaert, guitarist/vocalist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, guitarist Andy Martongelli and drummer Paolo Caridi.

In a statement on the cover, Ellefson said, “We’re all fans of Posty, and he’s also been a huge fan of Megadeth and all things Metal. Aside from being a great song for any genre, our cover of ‘Over Now’ is our way of showing our mutual admiration, and paying homage to our friend.”

Ellefson’s cover of “Over Now” can be heard in the preview below, while the track in its entirety can be heard on the band’s Bandcamp page.
