Avatar has announced their new album, *Don’t Go in the Forest*, set to release on Halloween. This will be the Swedish metal band’s 10th studio album and follows their 2023 release, *Dance Devil Dance*, which featured the single “The Dirt I’m Buried In.”
Frontman Johannes Eckerström shared his excitement about the upcoming album, saying, “The secret ingredient is that we still feel like we’re just getting started. *Don’t Go in the Forest* is filled with things we’ve never done before. These are songs and concepts we’ve never explored until now. Our minds are wild, and we’ve lost ourselves in dark woods filled with memories and fantasies. There are forbidden thoughts that need to be expressed.”
In addition to the album announcement, Avatar has released a new song titled “Tonight We Must Be Warriors,” and the music video is now available on YouTube. The full tracklist for *Don’t Go in the Forest* has not yet been revealed.
Earlier this year, Avatar also released two other songs: “In the Airwaves” and “Captain Goat.” Fans can look forward to seeing the band live, as they will kick off a U.S. tour in November. Stay tuned for more updates!
