AVATAR & The King Conquer the TLA

Starting off the evening wasn’t a band it was Hellzapoppin‘ a a traveling freak show that included man with no legs jumping on to piles of glass, a sword swallower, a razor blade regurgitater and people drilling drill bits into their face.  This was definitely not a opener for the faint of heart!

Second up were The Brains,  a Canadian rockabilly type group with a tinge of metal.  The Philly crowd seemed to welcome this 3 man group and enjoyed their set warming them up for the main attraction.

A curtain drop unveiled AVATAR‘s royal banners, as they began the night with material off of their recently released album ‘Avatar Country  First up “Glory to Our King” and then “Legend of the King.” Tonight’s set was packed with six new songs from the new cd.

Avatar ran through other fan favorites including “Smells Like a Freakshow,” “The Eagle Has Landed” and “Let it Burn.” They closed the night with “Hail the Apocalypse,” which was the one song the fans were waiting to hear all night
