Avenged Sevenfold appear on Pussy Riot’s latest track.

Avenged Sevenfold is featured on a new song by the Russian punk rock group Pussy Riot. The track, titled “Candy Dopamine,” will be part of Pussy Riot’s debut album, CYKA, set to release on June 12. Nadya Tolokonnikova, the founder of Pussy Riot, describes the song as a mix of love and hate towards prescription and designer drug culture. She shares that it reflects her own struggles with antidepressants and comments on the current trend of using pills and injections for mental health and appearance. “It’s not a judgment, just an observation,” she explains, based on her personal experiences with PTSD and depression.

“Candy Dopamine” is now available on digital platforms. This collaboration isn’t the first between Avenged Sevenfold and Pussy Riot. In 2023, they worked together on a new version of Avenged Sevenfold’s song “We Love You,” which was renamed “We Love You Moar.
