Beartooth has released a new single titled “Free” on February 27. This marks their first new music since 2023 and their debut with Fearless Records. The song was co-written and co-produced by Jordan Fish.
Currently, Beartooth is on a North American arena tour supporting Bad Omens, which includes eight sold-out shows. Frontman Caleb Shomo described “Free” as a new direction for the band. He said, “’Free’ is the start of the next chapter of my music and my life. The emotional roller coaster that is living can be very complicated at times. In one day, you can experience both pure fear and pure joy. This song gives a glimpse of what’s to come from the next Beartooth album, which will be the most honest depiction of my soul I will most likely ever make.”
The Ohio-based band has achieved over 1.3 billion streams worldwide. Their 2023 album, The Surface, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart and produced two consecutive No. 1 singles on Active Rock radio.
Caleb Shomo started Beartooth in Columbus, Ohio, in 2012 as a solo project after leaving Attack Attack!. The band has released several albums, including Disgusting in 2014, Aggressive in 2016, Disease in 2018, Below in 2021, and The Surface in 2023.
The tour with Bad Omens runs until March 27, with sold-out shows in cities like Detroit, Laval, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Raleigh, Nashville, and Inglewood. Other stops include Allstate Arena in Rosemont on March 4, Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on March 6, and Prudential Center in Newark on March 10. The tour will wrap up in Dallas, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Glendale, and Oakland.
