In anticipation of her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour, Billie Eilish has shared a music video for “Birds of a Feather.” Directed by Aidan Zamiri, the visual shows the musician getting tugged by an invisible string.
“Birds of a Feather” is a x2 RIAA platinum-certified single. It has spent three consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Global Charts and has topped the Billboard Pop Airplay Chart and Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart, crowning Eilish with the most No. 1’s in history on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart as a solo artist.
Eilish’s third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, was released on May 17 via Darkroom/Interscope Records. The RIAA platinum-certified album has gathered over 4.7 billion global streams and has reached #1 in 25 countries. In its first week, Hit Me Hard and Soft officially surpassed Eilish’s previous album sales, selling 339k units and 90k in vinyl in the U.S., making this her biggest career debut. She is one of two artists and the youngest to have sold more than 300,000 units in the first week in the last eight years. Eilish is currently the most-streamed female artist in the world on Spotify.
Eilish is also the first female solo artist to have an album with three songs gaining over 8 million streams daily in the Top 10 Spotify Global Chart in its first week. Those singles are “Lunch,” “Chihiro,” and “Birds of a Feather.”
The North American leg of Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour just kicked off on September 29. The nationwide run includes three sold-out shows at New York City’s legendary Madison Square Garden and boasts a sustainability plan in a continued effort to help lower the carbon footprint.
