Idol announced It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again! with a video starring comedian Matt Rife. The clip follows Idol through a variety of scenarios, all of which lead to encounters with Rife, who continually makes reference to Idol’s songs. There are also cameos from Jett, who plays Idol’s therapist, and Idol’s longtime guitar player Steve Stevens.
News of Idol’s 2025 tour comes ahead of a new album coming this year via Dark Horse Records. Details about the new LP are reportedly coming soon. The project follows a busy 2024 in which Idol marked the 40th anniversary of Rebel Yell with a Deluxe Expanded Edition and appeared at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony as part of a group inducting Ozzy Osbourne.
Before that, in 2023 Idol released the concert film Billy Idol: State Line. Documenting the first-ever concert at the Hoover Dam on the Nevada/Arizona state line, it offers a reminder of the formidable live show Idol will be taking on the road this year. The movie captures two sets from Idol: a full band concert at sunset with special guests and an acoustic duo set on the roof of the powerhouse at the foot of the dam.
