Black Crowes Unveils 4K Remastered ‘High Head Blues’ Music Video to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of Amorica Album

The Black Crowes have just released a stunning 4K remastered version of their “High Head Blues” music video on YouTube. This release celebrates the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1994 album, Amorica. Fans can now watch the video on the platform for the very first time. The band shared the news on social media, saying, “To celebrate the Amorica reissue, we’ve just released the 4K remastered version of the ‘High Head Blues’ music video. FIRST TIME ever seen on YouTube!!”

Chris Robinson reflected on the album, stating, “Amorica was about breaking free and doing things on our own terms. It wasn’t about fitting into what was happening in music at the time. It was about trusting our instincts — and 30 years later, that’s still who we are.” His brother, Rich Robinson, added, “The bond between us, even when tested, always came back to the music. That’s what Amorica represents — our belief in ourselves and in this band.”

Amorica was the band’s third studio album, following two massive hits: their 1990 debut, Shake Your Money Maker, and 1992’s The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, both of which achieved seven Platinum certifications.

The deluxe edition of Amorica includes The Marie Laveau Sessions, featuring seven unreleased studio recordings from October 1992. Among these are “Bitter, Bitter You,” “Title Song,” and “Paris Song,” which later became the track “Cursed Diamond.” The collection also features four live songs recorded during a radio broadcast from AIR Studios in London on October 25, 1994.

The LP box set comes with a fanzine interview about the album’s evolution, a 20”x30” poster, a bumper sticker, and a slip mat. The reissue brings back fan favorites like “Wiser Time,” “Descending,” and “Gone.” Fans can order the remastered album and box set now!
