Black Veil Brides just released a new single called “Certainty,” along with a music video. Fans can look forward to hearing it on the band’s upcoming album later this year. Lead singer Andy Biersack shared that the theme of “Certainty” is a key part of the record and runs throughout the album. He explained that the song was inspired by the film Conclave, which explores how strict belief systems can trap us.
Biersack reflected on how the current world influenced their writing. He noted, “When certainty hardens, curiosity, growth, and the willingness to change become impossible.” He pointed out that much of today’s political and social discussions happen in echo chambers of absolute belief, which adds tension to the album’s narrative.
The music video was shot by George Gallardo Kattah while the band was touring Colombia. Kattah has previously worked with artists like Chelsea Wolfe and Maneskin. Biersack praised Kattah’s work, saying, “The music video is one of our favorites. His take on fear and pride as biblical twins is stunning, and the visuals are incredible.”
The song was the last one written and recorded for the album. It started from an idea that guitarist Jake Pitts sent over, and they quickly developed it over a few days. Biersack felt that the song perfectly captured the story and sound they wanted for the project.
This album marks their first full release with Spinefarm Records. Biersack and Pitts took on production duties themselves, keeping everything in-house. Fans are excited to see what else the band has in store!
