blink-182 Celebrate 20 Year Anniversary of Enema of the State in Camden, NJ

blink-182 and Lil Wayne, with supporting band Neck Deep took on Camden, NJ which is just a stone’s skip from Philadelphia over the Ben Franklin Bridge on September 18, 2019.


Up first was the British rock/punk band Neck Deep which sonsists of Ben Barlow, drummer Dani Washington, guitarists Matt West and Sam Bowdon, and now bassist Joshua Halling.  Neck Deep kicked off  their set with their track “Motion Sickness” and also played “Gold Steps,” “Can’t Kick Up The Roots,” and a new song called “She’s a God.”  The energy the band gave during their seven song set was the perfect starting point to get this show started.

Next up was Lil Wayne,  Before Weezy F came on stage his DJ played a bunch of hype songs fro about 20 minutes to whip the crowd into a frenzy.  Finally the self proclaimed “World’s Greatest Rapper” hit the stage with a surprising amount of energy.  He had an amazing light show along with pyro that made his set a real sight to see.  Lil Wayne rapped for around 45 minutes with a 28 song set that included his hits like “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “Lollipop,” and “A Milli.”  He even did a cover of “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X.

blink-182 who are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album ‘Enema of the State’  took to the stage after the audio of Samuel L Jackson’s famous EZekiel 25:17 speech from Pulp Fiction pumped through the BB&T Pavilion speakers.  They started off with track 1 from Enema of the State “Dumpweed” and continued to play the album in its entirety.  Mark Hoppus was joined on stage by fellow blink-182 founding member, drummer Travis Barker, and guitarist/vocalist Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio) who joined the band after the departure of Tom Delonge.  In addition to songs off of “EotS” the band also threw in a few of their other classics- including  “I Miss You” and “All The Small Things.”  They also played their new track “Darkside” from their new album “Nine” which was just released on September 20th.
