Brandon Flowers is teasing a new song called “Paradise” from his upcoming solo album Thrasher. In a Facebook post he wrote, “Back in October ’89, Phil Collins took ‘Another Day In Paradise’ from the working man. This Friday the 17th, I’ll be returning it to its rightful owner.”
It’s not clear exactly what Flowers means by referencing Collins’ song, which was criticized when it came out for its portrayal of homelessness. “Paradise” appears to arrive this Friday.
Thrasher is Flowers’ third solo album and his first in 11 years. It drops Aug. 21 and includes the previously released single “Plans.” Flowers will begin a U.S. solo tour in September.
