Actor, philanthropist, and disability rights advocate RJ Mitte has died at the age of 34, his representative announced in a statement. No cause of death was provided. Mitte, who lived with cerebral palsy, was best known for playing Walter White Jr., the son of Bryan Cranston’s character Walter White, across all five seasons of AMC’s Breaking Bad.
In addition to Breaking Bad, Mitte appeared in productions including Switched at Birth, The Guardians of Justice, and The Oak Room. Outside of acting, he served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s, as well as president of The Mitte Foundation. In October 2025, Mitte proposed to his girlfriend of five years, Kennedy Suarez.
