Keith Wallen, the guitarist for Breaking Benjamin, recently released a fresh cover of Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You” on July 15. The new video features Wallen strumming his guitar in the bed of a truck, with his back to the camera.
Wallen shared his thoughts on the song, saying, “‘I’m With You’ takes us all back to the early 2000s. We were younger and ready to take on the world. I remember where I was when I first heard it, which makes it a timeless piece of art. It was fun to record this and relive that moment for a bit.”
This cover comes after his solo album, *Infinity Now*, released last year on . His latest track, “Us Against the World,” dropped on streaming platforms in April. Wallen has also released previous solo albums, including *This World Or The Next* in 2021 and *Allies* in 2014. He has contributed to Breaking Benjamin’s albums, *Dark Before Dawn* and *Ember*.
Starting July 18, Wallen will kick off a series of solo shows, beginning in Birmingham and wrapping up at the Northwoods Rock Rally in Wisconsin on August 16. Over the years, Wallen has collaborated with various bands, and his music has appeared on albums by Saint Asonia, Fuel, and We Came as Romans. He is known for blending influences from 80s pop and 90s grunge.
After his solo shows, Wallen will join his Breaking Benjamin bandmates for a tour, hitting cities like Fort Myers, Atlanta, and Nashville. Fans can look forward to an exciting summer filled with great music!
