Bret Michaels Refutes Pay Dispute Allegations, Aims for 2027 Poison Anniversary Tour

Bret Michaels has denied claims that he demanded six times the pay of his Poison bandmates. He stated that financial discussions never took place. In a recent interview, Michaels shared that Poison is planning a 40 Plus One anniversary tour in 2027 to celebrate four decades since their debut album, *Look What the Cat Dragged In*, was released in 1986.

Michaels explained, “I’m gonna answer that honestly. It never happened. We never got to that part of negotiations.” He mentioned that the initial talks involved him putting together solo numbers and averages, but discussions stalled due to scheduling conflicts with his solo commitments. Last summer, the tour planning shifted to 2027 as venues needed clarity on his availability for 2026.

Drummer Rikki Rockett had claimed that the anniversary tour fell apart because Michaels wanted $6 for every dollar the other three members would earn. However, Michaels emphasized the importance of private discussions. “We’re all friends. If you want to discuss something, just call me. No offense. I love Rikki, Bobby, and C.C. Let’s work out what we need to work out,” he said.

Poison last headlined shows in 2018 on the Nothin’ But a Good Time Tour with Cheap Trick. Their most recent performance together was in 2022 as part of The Stadium Tour alongside Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Joan Jett. Fans are hopeful for the upcoming anniversary tour and the chance to see the band back together on stage.
