A brand new compilation, Bridget Jones’s Diary: The Mixtape, is set to arrive alongside the new film, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.

The collection brings together a selection of songs from across the Bridget Jones film franchise. Releasing in partnership with Universal Pictures’ launch of the fourth film, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, coming to theaters on February 14, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The original soundtrack album, released in 2001 by UMG on CD and cassette only, sold over one million copies in the UK, making it 3x platinum certified. It achieved No.1 on the official compilation chart in the UK and has accumulated over 25 million streams worldwide since release.

The new release was made in collaboration with the franchise’s music executive producer, Nick Angel. This “best of” brings together a range of the beloved and iconic tracks from the infamous world of Bridget Jones.

The new release includes hits from the first three films, of which the soundtracks have never been released on vinyl before. Additionally, a selection of songs from Mad About The Boy will be featured, including brand new song written exclusively for the film from a surprise artist. This new compilation will be released on limited edition 2LP color gatefold and on CD.

A synopsis for the new film reads: “Bridget Jones navigates life as a widow and single mom with the help of her family, friends, and former lover, Daniel. Back to work and on the apps, she’s pursued by a younger man and maybe — just maybe — her son’s science teacher.”

The first Bridget Jones film, released in 2001, featured a soundtrack released by Mercury Records. That collection included hits like Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” Chaka Khan’s “I’m Every Woman,” a Robbie Williams rendition of “Have You Met Miss Jones?,” Sheryl Crow’s “Kiss That Girl,” Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross taking on “Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart),” Van Morrison’s “Someone Like You,” and more.
