Brothers Osborne Named 2021 Ambassadors Of Nashville’s Music Row Build

TJ and John Osborne of country favorites Brothers Osborne have been named as the new 2021 Ambassadors for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville’s Music Row Build. The initiative, to promote and achieve affordable homeownership opportunities in Nashville, is scheduled for October 2-3.

Nashville has been identified by 24/7 Wall Street as one of five US cities that are close to a housing crisis. More than 70% of residents are said to be in need of affordable or workforce housing. The brothers will be helping volunteers to build Habitat for Humanity’s first townhome community, Sherwood Commons. The site will become home to 26 future Habitat homeowners.

Music Row Build was founded in 2003 and ended its first incarnation in 2012, by which time it had helped eight local families to buy affordable homes. Last year, the initiative was refuelled when Round Hill Music senior VP and GM Mark Brown expressed the desire to help local residents have equal opportunities to purchase homes of their own.

Says TJ Osborne: “With climbing housing prices, many Nashvillians are priced out of the real estate market. Nashville is home to many creative and diverse communities, and we need to make sure everyone who calls Nashville home, has a home.”

Adds John Osborne: “We are excited to help with the Music Row Build this year. We were privileged enough to grow up in a stable home in Deale, Maryland, where we would have jam sessions with family and friends. We recognize the importance of this and want to do our part to lend a hand with this project.”

Round Hill Music’s Brown advises: “Our fundraising goal this year is $60,000. We are incredibly grateful for TJ and John’s help getting the word out about Music Row Build and the need for more affordable homeownership opportunities in Nashville.” Habitat home sponsor WME is also joining this year’s Music Row Build.
