Bruce Dickinson, the frontman of Iron Maiden, has released Dolby Atmos versions of his solo albums, Tattooed Millionaire (1990) and Skunkworks (1996). In a recent statement, he expressed excitement about the upgraded audio on Skunkworks, saying it “will blow your socks off.” He added, “I’m immensely proud of that record. As time goes on, I appreciate it even more. It was ahead of its time, mixing influences that others in metal were afraid to try. It’s emotional and dark in places.”
Regarding the Dolby Atmos version of Tattooed Millionaire, Dickinson praised producer Chris Tsangarides, stating, “He did a great job, and now with modern technology, we can make it BIG in Atmos! The album sounds really good.”
Both albums are now available to stream in Dolby Atmos on digital platforms.
Dickinson’s latest solo album, The Mandrake Project, is set to release in 2024, marking his first solo work in nearly 20 years. Meanwhile, Iron Maiden is preparing for the 2026 leg of their Run for Your Lives tour, celebrating their 50th anniversary, with North American dates starting in August.
