Bruce Springsteen Appears to Be Teasing a New Album

Bruce Springsteen has been very active on social media as of late, and many fans think new music is on the way.

On September 26, The Boss shared a caption-less image of a divided road.

On September 27, another caption-less photo was shared. This time, it was of a steering wheel.

Today (September 28), Springsteen shared a short video of a classic car radio moving up and down the dial playing various songs. Some of them appear to be covers. Once song is clearly a Springsteen cover of The Commodores “Nightshift” when the other sounds like a cover of Frank Wilson’s 2010 song “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do).” The clip was captioned, “Turn it up tomorrow, September 29th at 10:00 AM ET!”

News of a new Springsteen album isn’t terribly surprising thanks to Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner. While promoting his new memoir earlier this month, Wenner told Billboard, “Whether rock ‘n’ roll is going to come back — possibly not, because the sound is so different, and the circumstances are different. But I’m kind of stuck with the music I liked when I was young. Give me the Stones. There’s a new Bruce [Springsteen] record coming out this fall, which is stunning. I’m listening to that.”

Releasing new music also wouldn’t be shocking considering Springsteen and the E Street Band will embark on a world tour in 2023. Currently, the tour will kick off February 1 in Tampa, Fla. The U.S. leg of the tour wraps on April 14 in Newark, N.J. The tour then heads overseas to kick off the European leg on April 28 in Barcelona, Spain.
