Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band have been forced to postpone all remaining 2023 tour dates. These shows will be rescheduled for 2024, due to Springsteen recovering from peptic ulcer disease.
This news was announced via a statement across The Boss’ social media channels. The statement says, in part, “Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice. With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024.”
All of the postponed shows will have new dates announced next week. Fans unable to attend the new shows will have 30 days to request a refund for their tickets.
Springsteen said in a personal statement, “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”
Earlier this month, Springsteen initially announced his shows in September were postponed, citing treatment for peptic ulcer disease. His latest tour with the E Street Band has had a handful of postponements due to illness. At the time, few details were divulged about the extent of said illness. However, it appears peptic ulcer disease could be the reason for some of these postponements.
We send well wishes to The Boss and everyone on E Street. We can’t wait for them to return to the road in 2024 well rested and ready to go.
