Bryan Adams’ outdoor tour, originally scheduled to take place this June, has been pushed forward a year to 2022. Initially announced in December, the UK tour included shows in London, Cornwall, Aberdeen, and more. Now, most dates have been rescheduled while a number were canceled.
Safe in the rescheduled dates are the three nights Adams is scheduled to play at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of a residency. Those shows will be held in May 2022 as the first of the veteran musician’s performances.
Among the canceled dates are shows at Bristol City Centre, Canterbury Spitfire Showground, and Exeter Powderham Arena. Adams’ previously announced Eden Sessions show in Cornwall, England has been moved to June 29, 2022.
When he does manage to get back on stage, it will be Adams’ first show since the start of the pandemic. The Canadian pop icon originally planned to make his return last August at a show at Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany hosting 7,000 concertgoers as a test-run for post-pandemic live events. Unfortunately, the concert was postponed when the country saw a spike in coronavirus cases.
The UK tour was originally scheduled as a leg of a string of tour dates in support of Adams’ 2019 album Shine A Light. The project, which featured a collaboration with Jennifer Lopez and included writing credits from Ed Sheeran, Eliot Kennedy, Gretchen Peters, and more, reached No. 2 in the UK and No. 1 in Adam’s home country of Canada.
