We here at DigitalNoiseMag.com had the pleasure of attending Bush’s final North American show of 2018 last week.  The show was at North Seventh, formerly The Electric Factory.  Supporting Bush was Knoxville, Tennessee’s own 10 Years.

10 Years opened the show with Halo, a melodic tune off of their latest album (how to live) As Ghosts.  They slowed it down a bit after that with “Fix Me” from 2010’s “Feeding the Wolves.” During their set they did a stirring rendition of  Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box.”   If you have ever seen them before, they also do an incredible version of REM’s “Losing My Religion,” both of these covers are now available on a rereleased version of (how to live) As Ghosts.  10 Years ended their set with probably their biggest hit “Wasteland” and current single “Novacaine.”

Bush’s set featured music spanning their entire catalog, including classics like “Everything Zen” and “Machinehead” from 1994’s Sixteen Stone to “This is War” from 2017’s Black and White Rainbows. They even did a cover of the Beatles “Come together.”  The highlight of the show came during the encore as Rossdale took the stage alone to serenade the crowd with one of the 90’s greatest rock ballads “Glycerine.”  At one point, Rossdale stopped singing and playing the guitar and let the crowd take over all of the singing duties.  It was truly a “goosebump” moment.  Even though the band’s lineup has changed, Bush continues to be an incredible live band and one you shouldn’t miss when they come through your home town.
