Carly Pearce Among 2022 Kentucky Hall Of Fame Inductees

Country star Carly Pearce, who recently released her third studio album, 29: Written In Stone, is receiving a new accolade: becoming a 2022 inductee into the Kentucky Hall of Fame.

Pearce, who grew up in the state’s own Taylor Mill, will be honored at a Renfro Valley ceremony on October 28. Other nominees for this year’s induction include Norah Lee Allen (Grand Ole Opry background vocalist), Tommy White (Steel Guitar Hall of Fame), and songwriter Marty Brown. There are also two posthumous nominations for Bluegrass songwriter Pete Goble and producer Paul Yandell.

Last spring, the country star was also the subject of an exhibit at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum.

“Kentucky is where I learned to love country music and the incredibly talented musicians who wove their stories and texture throughout the genre,” said Pearce in a statement. “From straight-up sass of The Judds and Patty Loveless or truly understanding Loretta Lynn’s heartache, to the Bluegrass tinge of Ricky Skaggs and Bill Monroe, their influences have driven my music. I am so excited and grateful to be inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame this Fall.”

Pearce has previously garnered the acclaim of her peers by winning Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2021 CMA Awards in November. The artist also enjoyed two wins at the ACM Awards last April, including Single of the Year for her collaboration with Lee Brice, “I Hope You’re Happy Now.”

Earlier this month, Pearce was announced as a performer at the 2022 ACM Awards on March 7, where she is nominated for Album of the Year. She also made her debut performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January, where she delivered a rock-forward version of her single, “Diamondback.”

Fans can catch Pearce playing “Diamondback,” along with other songs off 29: Written In Stone, during her next leg of “The 29 Tour,” which launches on March 10 in Chattanooga, TN. Beginning in April, fans can find Pearce opening for Kenny Chesney on his “Here and Now” stadium tour. More information, along with a complete list of tour dates, is available on Pearce’s official website.
