Celebrate the Holidays in Chester County

Holiday celebrations are in full swing in Chester County! Here’s a look at some exciting events and activities happening this season.

Seasonal Celebrations
Kick off the festivities with the Kennett Holiday Light Parade on November 22. Then, enjoy the West Chester Hometown Christmas Parade on December 5, followed by the Coatesville Christmas Parade on December 6. Don’t miss the holiday magic at Longwood Gardens with A Longwood Christmas, running from November 11 to January 11, featuring stunning lights and carols. The Brandywine Museum of Art also has a special exhibit, Home for the Holidays: Cards and Hearths from the Collection, which opened on November 15.

Spirit of Giving Back
This season is also about giving back. Avondale will host a Santa Train on November 29, collecting toys for children in need as part of the Operation Toy Train drive. The Kennett Square Police Department will make two stops: at East Penn Railroad Station at 2:45 p.m. and at the Creamery on Birch Street at 3:30 p.m.

State Senator Katie Muth is turning her office in Royersford into a collection site for Toys for Tots and a veterans holiday drive. She encourages everyone to donate essential supplies.

The Kennett Library is teaming up with Kennett Area Community Service to create a Giving Tree. They’ll make ornaments with wish lists for local families.

This holiday season, let’s spread joy and support those in need!
