From Ashes to New has just released a new song titled “Drag Me.” Vocalist Matt Brandyberry explains that the song is about feeling trapped in a battle with yourself. He says, “When your inner demons pull harder than your better intentions can push, every good thought gets buried beneath the bad.” He emphasizes that the real struggle is not against the world, but against your own reflection.
Brandyberry adds, “‘Drag Me’ came from that place—the feeling of being pulled straight into hell by parts of yourself you can never escape.” Fans can check out the “Drag Me” visualizer on YouTube.
This track is the second new release from From Ashes to New in 2025, following “New Disease,” which came out in July. Their latest album, “Blackout,” was released in 2023.
