Chris Brown Announces Upcoming Album Release and Tour with Usher

Chris Brown and Usher were spotted together at The 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards on February 8, 2015, in Los Angeles. Now, Chris Brown is set to release his 12th studio album, titled BROWN, on May 8. This album will come out under his own label, Chris Brown Entertainment, in partnership with RCA Records. The first single from the album, “Obvious,” follows the Grammy-nominated track “It Depends,” which features Bryson Tiller.

In addition to his new music, Brown is gearing up for a North American tour with Usher called “The R&B Tour.” While the dates for this exciting collaboration haven’t been announced yet, fans are eager to see what’s in store. Brown’s recent “Breezy Bowl XX Tour” was a huge success, ranking No. 7 on Pollstar’s list of top-grossing tours for 2025. The tour brought in over $298 million and sold 2.06 million tickets, making him a standout performer on the Artist Power Index chart.

Usher also had a solid year, finishing No. 98 on the Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours Chart, grossing $33 million from 212,323 tickets. Brown’s upcoming album follows his Grammy-winning project, 11:11 (Deluxe), which won Best R&B Album and featured the hit single “Residuals.” Last year, he also took home several NAACP Image Awards, including Outstanding Male Artist, tying with Usher for the most wins in that category.

In 2022, Brown released two singles, including “It Depends” and “Holy Blindfold.” His “Breezy Bowl XX” tour celebrated the 20th anniversary of his first album. He holds the record for the most Hot 100 entries in Billboard history and has the most RIAA multi-platinum certifications among artists across all genres. Fans can’t wait for what’s next from this R&B superstar!
