Chris Lake and Disclosure Share Collaboration ‘in2minds’

Chris Lake and Disclosure have shared their eagerly-awaited collaboration, “in2minds,” out now via BlackBook Records/Astralwerks. Co-produced by both, “in2minds” finds two of dance music’s biggest acts joining forces.

“This was a fun and natural collaboration for me,” says Chris Lake. “We made ‘in2minds’ the first day we got in the studio together. Disclosure and I are both pretty technical and with this song it feels like we kind of flexed on each other a little bit. The result is the collaboration of two minds.”

“I’ve been a fan of Chris’s work since discovering his track ‘Piano Hand,’ and only recently discovered we’ve been neighbors in LA for a few years now,” says Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence. “When we finally connected, our first time working together led to this track ‘in2minds,’ a fast-paced, bass-heavy 808 driving track with a nice blend of each of our styles & vibes in there. This is just the first of a few bits we have cooking. I hope you all enjoy this one.”

The buzz for “in2minds” has been building since May, when Disclosure previewed the track during their B2B set with Mochakk at Cercle Festival. After teasing the track at July’s Black Book on the Pier in Brooklyn, Lake was a surprise guest at Disclosure’s Friends & Family pop-up in Los Angeles back in August. Both Lake and Disclosure capped off the summer with massive sets at HARD Summer in L.A.

Lake had a big hit this year with “Summertime Blues,” a collaboration with Sammy Virji that also features The Boxer Rebellion frontman Nathan Nicholson. The house anthem appeared on a number of Spotify Viral charts, held down the No. 1 spot on the dance/electronic club charts for several weeks, and received a Danny Howard “Hottest Record” premiere in the UK. Lake’s Black Book Records also released the eighth installment of their Black Book ID’s series.

For their part, Disclosure—the duo composed of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence—had a massive hit this year with “She’s Gone, Dance On,” which builds off an Ennio Morricone composition sampled from the 1978 film Così Come Se. The song premiered as the “Hottest Record” on BBC Radio 1’s “New Music Show with Jack Saunders” and debuted at #16 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. The track has since received remixes from the likes of Hamdi, DJ Carlita, and Todd Edwards. Disclosure’s most recent album, 2023’s Alchemy, debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Dance Albums chart and featured the Grammy-nominated single “Higher Than Ever Before.”
