Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes explains the reason behind his shift in feelings toward the Rock Hall

The Black Crowes are nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the second year in a row! Frontman Chris Robinson shared his excitement on Instagram, saying he and his brother Rich are “beyond excited and thrilled” about the nomination. However, Chris didn’t always feel this way.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, Chris talked about his past comments from 2017, when he said he wouldn’t attend the Hall of Fame if inducted. “I have a much more positive outlook these days,” he explained. He noted that he wasn’t part of The Black Crowes during that time, as the band was on a break from 2015 to 2019.

Chris reflected on how he and Rich were often known more for their conflicts than their music. “It worked for Oasis. I don’t know why it didn’t work for us,” he joked. But since their reunion in 2019, things have changed for the better. “It’s been fantastic,” he said.

During the show, Chris performed solo, treating the audience to a cover of Otis Redding’s classic “Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa (Sad Song).”

The Black Crowes also have a new album out now called A Pound of Feathers. Fans are excited to see what’s next for the band!
