Citizen Zero Reunites: Discussing New Music, Strengthening Old Bonds, and Exciting Future Plans — Exclusive Interview

In a recent episode of Talkin’ Rock with Meltdown on 101 WRIF, Detroit rockers Sammy Boller and Josh LeMay stopped by to chat about their band’s reunion. After several years apart, a chance meeting at PJ’s Lager House brought them back together. They called it a “fateful night” that sparked new plans for the band. “We always had a thing—no plan B and all gas, no brakes,” LeMay said, sharing their excitement about the band’s revival.

Since Citizen Zero went on hiatus, both Boller and LeMay have kept busy in the music scene. LeMay has been working in production, while Boller recently toured with the Goo Goo Dolls, stepping in on lead guitar at the last minute. “I had to learn the set from a fan-shot YouTube video the day before,” he shared, even practicing slide guitar with a socket wrench.

The band’s reunion show is scheduled for November 14th at The Machine Shop in Flint, a venue that holds special meaning for them. They are also heading into the studio this month to record new music with producer Jim Kaufman, aiming for a release in 2026. While details about future tours are still under wraps, fans can look forward to hearing new material live at The Machine Shop.

Citizen Zero is back and ready to kick off a new chapter. Stay tuned for more updates and catch the full interview for all the details!
