‘Clueless’ Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Comes To Vinyl

The soundtrack to 1995’s Clueless is set to be re-released on vinyl. The announcement is in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the film, which starred Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, and Brittany Murphy.

The vinyl releases will come in two forms: a standard vinyl reissue and a hot pink vinyl reissue. The platinum-selling original motion picture soundtrack is a mix of pop, alternative rock, punk, and hip-hop, reflecting the eclecticism of the ‘90s era.

It features classics like Radiohead’s “Fake Plastic Trees,” World Party’s “All the Young Dudes,” Beastie Boys’ “Mullet Head,” Coolio’s “Rollin’ with My Homies,” Jill Sobule’s “Supermodel,” and the film’s signature song—The Muffs’s pop-punk version of Kim Wilde’s 1981 debut single, “Kids in America.”

Loosely based on Jane Austen’s 1815 novel Emma, Clueless follows popular, wealthy high school student Cher Horowitz (played by Silverstone) who strives to do a series of “good deeds,” ranging from giving a new student a makeover to playing matchmaker for her teachers. The film is mainly known for its iconic designer costumes, which have inspired everything from Halloween costumes to Iggy Azalea’s 2014 “Fancy” music video alongside Charli XCX.

Clueless has also been adapted several times since its initial 1995 release, including a 1996 TV spin-off series, a collection of paperback books from 1995 to 1999, video games in 1997 and 2009, and two Broadway musicals in 2018 and 2025.

Order the soundtrack to Clueless on vinyl now.
