CLUTCH Set to Begin Recording 14th Album in Early 2026 with Producer Machine

Clutch is set to start working on their 14th studio album in late January or early February 2026. The band plans to have one more writing session in January before heading into the studio with producer Machine.

Neil Fallon, the band’s frontman, shared that they began pre-production and writing earlier this year but paused to go on tour. He confirmed, “There will be another writing session in January, and the plan is to record in late January or early February.”

Once they start recording, it could take about six months to finish the mastered album. Fallon emphasized that they won’t rush the release if the timing doesn’t feel right. “The great thing about being our own record label is that if it doesn’t feel right to put it out at that time, we won’t,” he said. “We’d rather wait and make it as good as it can be.” While there are several songs ready, he didn’t want to predict a release date.

Machine has worked with Clutch on three previous albums: Blast Tyrant (2004), Earth Rocker (2013), and Psychic Warfare (2015). He’s also known for collaborating with bands like Lamb of God and Every Time I Die.

Fallon mentioned that creating new material gets tougher after 13 albums over three decades. “Every year it gets harder and harder to come up with stuff, but we know that it’ll be alright,” he said.

This upcoming album will follow their last release, Sunrise On Slaughter Beach, which came out in September 2022.

In addition to the new album, Clutch will hit the road with Corrosion of Conformity for the Suffer No Evil U.S. Tour 2026 in April and May. JD PINKUS will open the shows. Fans can check out all the tour dates online.
