Coldplay Announces Concert To Raise Money For Reform L.A. Jails

Coldplay may not be touring behind their latest album, Everyday Life, due to environmental concerns, but that doesn’t mean you won’t see the band live this year. The Brit rockers just announced an intimate benefit show at the Hollywood Palladium on Monday, Jan. 20 to raise funds for Reform LA Jails, a prison reform coalition seeking a ballot initiative to help reduce jail populations and redirect the cost savings. Some big names will join Coldplay on stage for the MLK Day performance, including actress and activist America Ferrera, hip-hop artist Boogie and upcoming rapper Bobby Gonz, as well as the leaders of Reform LA Jails and Black Lives Matter Global Network. Registration for tickets starts Wednesday night at 10 pm PST through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform, with purchases beginning Friday.
