After flexing his directorial muscles with his latest video “Ball If I Want To,” DaBaby returns to the director’s chair for his new visual “Red Light, Green Light.”
Just a week after the MC offered “Ball If I Want To,” Baby is bringing more new tunes highlighted by his fiery rhymes and comedic banter, this time around donning a Jheri curl and an Oakland Raiders fitted in the “Red Light, Green Light” video. Baby skates his way all the way back to the West Coast with this 1990s-inspired style video.
Earlier this week, Baby announced his partnership with the popular clothing brand boohooMan. Set to release a 100-piece limited edition collection that embodies Babyt’s bold and creative style, the Charlotte MC is ready to dominate the fashion world.
“Boom! The news is out. It’ve officially partnered with boohooMAN on a fashion collection, and it is dropping real soon! I cant’t wait for yt’all to see it – stay tuned,” said Baby in the press release. “Set your alarms and go cop it before it sells out!” With price points ranging from $8- $80, the boohooMAN x DaBaby collection will be available on boohooMAN.com and boohoo.com on Wednesday June 30.
Baby’s latest visual, “Ball If I Want To” earned a whopping 4.2 million views in under three days. With seven nominations in tow, Baby will perform at the 2021 BET Awards this Sunday night. Last month, Baby won two Billboard Awards for “ROCKSTAR,” including top rap song.
It has been a busy 2021 for Baby, who dropped “Masterpiece” at the beginning of the year. DaBaby originally teased “Masterpiece” on Instagram towards the end of 2020. It was his first single since November 2020 when he unveiled the 7-track tribute EP My Brother’s Keeper in a surprise release. It was produced by D.A. Got That Dope whose notable collaborations include 24kGoldn, Lil Wayne, Eminem, and more. “Masterpiece” was the first time the producer and rapper joined forces on a track of his own.
