DaBaby has dropped a new braggadocious single titled “Nan.” The latest from the eight-time Grammy nominee finds the rapper gleefully boasting about his Billboard accolades.
“Nan” arrives just two weeks after the release of a reflective video for “Done Trying.” That track appears on May’s three-song Ghetto Superstar EP alongside “Ghetto Superstar (Freestyle)” and “Judy,” which features the rising Detroit rapper Skilla Baby and spawned the viral #JudyChallenge. DaBaby has been hinting that a larger project will drop later this summer. DaBaby’s most recent full-length record was 2022’s Baby on Baby 2, a sequel to his 2019 debut Baby on Baby.
DaBaby has stayed busy this year with the solo tracks “Grammy Party” and “Wonder Woman.” He released his own rework of Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar diss track “Like That” and rapped over JAY-Z’s “PSA” on “Reintroduction (Freestyle).” DaBaby has also lent his talents to other artists, appearing on “Point Em Out” off That Mexican OT’s Texas Technician and contributing to “Perfect,” a single off Icewear Vezzo’s project, Live From The 6.
He has also spent the year returning the love to his home state of North Carolina, appearing as a surprise guest during 50 Cent’s performance at Dreamville Fest and later at Charlotte’s inaugural Lovin’ Life Festival. Ahead of that set, DaBaby surprised students at area schools with performances and tickets to the festival, which also featured Post Malone, Stevie Nicks, and Noah Kahan. Lovin’ Life Festival donated $10,000 to Garinger High School’s music program.
Last year, DaBaby shared a pair of three song EPs. May’s Call Da Fireman included the viral “Shake Sumn,” “Ghetto Girls>>>>,” and “Sellin Crack,” featuring Offset. October’s Let’s Do It featured the tracks “Crash the Jeep,” “No Finsta,” and “D!ck.”
