Dan Donegan Talks Disturbed’s Collaboration with Ann Wilson

Disturbed made headlines last week with the announcement of their new album DivisiveThe LP features a collaboration with legendary Heart singer Ann Wilson, which guitarist Dan Donegan touched on in a new interview.

Speaking with WRIF’s Meltdown, Donegan said of working with Wilson, “It was a pretty magical moment to be in the room and to hear [Ann and David Draiman] harmonize together.” He also playfully said, “I can’t give it away, but their voices, it’s like Fergie and Jesus — a little ‘Step Brothers’ quote there.”

Disturbed were so thrilled with Wilson agreeing to record with them that they went out of their way to fly to her for her recording session.

“She’s such a pro, and she’s so damn good,” said Donegan. “She’s a legend. So, it was pretty exciting. And it’s not like she sits there and jumps on people’s albums either, so we take that as a badge of honor to think that there’s not many times where somebody as big a legend as she is that she would jump on any album. She doesn’t have to, and she chose to be on this one. And she loves the track. And it just came together great.”

Wilson shared on Twitter, “There’s an epic track coming out soon that I recorded with Disturbed.” She then shared a quote from Draiman saying of the track, “People are going to lose their minds when they hear the duet we did with Ann Wilson.”

Divisive comes out November 18 and is available for digital pre-save/pre-order here. Meanwhile, physical copies and album-related merch can be found at Disturbed.Shop.MusicToday.com. A complete tracklisting for the LP is below.
