Dave Grohl Drops His Death Metal EP and It’s Wild

Dave Grohl and his death metal EP (released under the name Dream Widow) has arrived, and it is a wild listen.

Per a press release, “The eponymous (using that word because it sounds like the name of a black metal singer) EP is actually the malevolent creation of Dave Grohl (handling vocals, guitar, bass and drums) and lead guitarist Jim Rota of Fireball Ministry renown. Assisted on a few tracks by keyboardists Rami Jaffee and Oliver Roman, Grohl and Rota make good on the sinister promise of the recently released ‘March of the Insane.’”

Dream Widow, of course, was first introduced in the Foo Fighters’ comedy horror film Studio 666, which was released last month. While the film underperformed at the box office, at least it helped produce this very unique EP.

You can listen to all eight tracks of Dream Widow below. The EP is also available for streaming and download here.
