Decca Records is excited to announce the release of “Novanta,” a special greatest hits collection celebrating the legendary Luciano Pavarotti. This 2LP set features his most beloved arias, signature songs, iconic live performances, and some rare finds, including new and previously unreleased tracks. “Novanta” is part of a year-long celebration of Pavarotti’s 90th birthday in October 2025.
The collection offers nearly 100 minutes of music across 74 tracks, showcasing opera, Italian classics, and sacred music. Fans can look forward to duets with stars like Tracy Chapman, Bono, Elton John, and Andrea Bocelli. It also includes two never-before-released arias from Llangollen and the classic “Adeste Fidelis” from a 1978 concert at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, making its debut on Decca.
Notably, “Novanta” features Pavarotti’s first known solo recording, “Che gelida manina,” recorded in 1961 at the Reggio Emilia Theatre, now available on LP for the first time. In addition to the 2LP format, “Novanta” will also be released on CD and in a 4CD set.
This announcement comes just ahead of the release of “The Lost Concert: Live from Llangollen (1995),” set for November 21st. This live album captures Pavarotti’s return to the stage 40 years after his first international performance at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. It includes a 100-page book with essays and photos, plus two recordings from 1955, believed to be the earliest recordings of his voice, along with a rare interview.
