Def Leppard have announced the release of their album, One Night Only Live At The Leadmill Sheffield May 29, 2023, out on October 11. On the heels of a release on Record Store Day 2024, the live album will be available on CD, DVD+CD, Blu-ray+CD, 2 LP, Digital Audio, and Digital Video, via Mercury Studios. Additionally, the band is offering 100 signed copies of the album, along with a Live At The Leadmill shirt, for sale on their official website.
Recorded just before Def Leppard’s sold-out show at Wembley Stadium amid their biggest-ever U.K./Europe tour ever, and shortly after their 2023 remix album Drastic Symphonies, the album documents the band’s one-off performance at The Leadmill in Sheffield, England. The performance was an opportunity for fans to see the band in one of their most intimate settings ever. Normally heard in a stadium, the audience at The Leadmill got to experience both major hits and deep cuts in a casual club setting.
One Night Only Live At The Leadmill Sheffield May 29, 2023 is not the only project Def Leppard has shared in recent months. Back in April, the band shared a 40th-anniversary edition of their landmark album Pyromania. In June, they teamed with Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello on the single “Just Like ‘73”. And earlier this month, their track “Photograph” was the subject of a remix from Armand Van Helden.
Meanwhile, Def Leppard continues their streak of very successful tours, teaming with fellow legendary act Journey for their ongoing The Summer Stadium Tour, which kicked off in St. Louis on July 6. The run includes dates across North America before concluding on September 10 in Salt Lake City. The band, made up of singer Joe Elliott, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, bassist Rick Savage, and drummer Rick Allen, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2018. Since their formation in 1976, Def Leppard has sold more than 110 million albums worldwide.
