Deftones are set to play six shows in Australia and New Zealand next May. The Sacramento band is on the road to promote their tenth studio album, *Private Music*. This will be their first headline arena tour in the region in nearly ten years.
Since forming in 1988, the California metal band has sold over 10 million records and has more than 10 billion streams worldwide. They’ve won two GRAMMY Awards: Best Metal Performance in 2001 and Best Remixed Recording in 2022. Their discography includes the RIAA-certified double-Platinum album *White Pony*, which earned them their first GRAMMY. Other albums like *Diamond Eyes*, *Koi No Yokan*, and *Ohms* have also achieved Platinum status. *Ohms* marked their fourth Top 5 debut on the Billboard 200.
*Private Music* was released in August through Warner Records. NME praised the album, saying the band “once again finds the band as masters of beauty and brutality rolling over the horizon in one stunning but powerful storm.”
The Australia and New Zealand shows will follow a UK and European tour in early 2026, which includes stops at The O2 in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin, and Cardiff. Deftones will also perform at Sick New World in Texas and several South American festivals, including Lollapalooza in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, in March 2026.
Tickets for the Australia and New Zealand shows go on sale November 21. Don’t miss your chance to see Deftones live!
