Deftones Guitarist’s ESP Custom Guitar Valued at $55,000 After Album Achieves Double Platinum Status

The ESP Horizon Custom guitar that helped define Deftones’ biggest hits is now valued at $55,000. This increase in price comes after their iconic album, White Pony, recently reached a new sales milestone. In July, the album sold over two million copies, earning it double Platinum status. The guitar has appeared in several music videos and TV commercials, and it still features the original Hed PE and Stuck Mojo stickers. Chino Moreno confirmed its history to the new owner.

“I wanted to go left [of nu-metal], not because I felt we were better than these bands. I wanted our band to stand on our own two feet,” Chino said while celebrating the 20th anniversary of White Pony. The band faced challenges during the album’s creation, including a hefty fine of one million dollars from their label for missing deadlines. This past June marked the 25th anniversary of the album.

Starting August 22 in Vancouver, fans can catch Deftones live on their North American tour. The band will perform 19 shows, wrapping up at Sacramento’s Aftershock festival on October 3. Tickets and more information are available for those looking to experience their powerful live performances.

This is an exciting time for Deftones fans, as they celebrate their legacy and continue to make music that resonates with many. Don’t miss your chance to see them live!
