Deftones’ new album, *Private Music*, has made a strong debut, landing at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks the band’s 10th studio album, and it sold 87,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with 66,000 coming from traditional album sales.
The album features the single “My Mind is a Mountain” and gives Deftones their seventh top-10 album. They previously reached #2 on the Billboard 200 with their self-titled album in 2003 and again with *Gore* in 2016.
Currently, Deftones are on a North American tour to promote *Private Music*. The tour continues this Wednesday with the first of two shows in Toronto, where they will perform alongside System of a Down. Fans are excited to see the band live and hear their new music.
