Toy Robot Video will release a two-disc set featuring new interviews, audio commentaries, and archival bonus content.
Toy Robot Video is releasing the 1999 comedy film Detroit Rock City on 4K UHD Blu-ray on Dec. 15, distributed by MVD Entertainment Group across the United States and Canada. The upcoming two-disc set includes newly filmed interviews with director Adam Rifkin, actress Lin Shaye, and production designer Steve Hardie, alongside three separate audio commentary tracks featuring Rifkin, members of KISS, and the movie’s cast and crew.
Directed by Rifkin for New Line Cinema and produced by Gene Simmons and Barry Levine, the 1999 film stars Edward Furlong, Sam Huntington, Giuseppe Andrews, and James DeBello as four high school friends scrambling to attend a 1978 KISS concert in Detroit after a ticket-burning mother, played by Shaye, destroys their passes. The release features music by KISS, AC/DC, and Van Halen, as well as archival bonus features including the Miscellaneous St documentary, deleted scenes, and two music videos.
