Disturbed bassist John Moyer is clearing up some comments he made about new music from the band. In a recent interview, Moyer mentioned that while Disturbed is currently on a break, there’s plenty of music in the works. He said, “There’s no shortage of music coming from Disturbed, I’ll tell you that right now.” He added that the band has been working in the studio for the past two years and has a lot of material ready to go.
However, some fans thought this meant new music was coming soon. Moyer took to Facebook to clarify. He wrote, “For the record, I never said Disturbed is releasing new material. I swear the news outlets just run with whatever they want. I said that Disturbed has never stopped being creative and there is no shortage of great material and ideas that have been worked on. So NO, there is no new music coming out to my knowledge.”
Disturbed’s last album, “Divisive,” was released in 2022, and they dropped a new single called “I Will Not Break” in February. The band spent much of 2025 on tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album, “The Sickness.” After the tour, frontman David Draiman mentioned, “Not sure when we will be headed back out. We all need a nice long break.”
Fans will have to wait a bit longer for any new music updates from Disturbed.
