Dream Theater is set to perform at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on January 27, 2026. This concert is extra special as drummer Mike Portnoy will reunite with the band for the first time in 15 years. The show is part of their 40th anniversary tour.
The three-hour seated performance will feature vocalist James LaBrie, guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, keyboardist Jordan Rudess, and Portnoy. “We’re super excited to return to Dubai and present our latest show to all of our incredible fans in the Middle East,” said John Petrucci. “We’ll be celebrating our 40th anniversary, our latest album, Parasomnia, and of course the return of our brother, Mike Portnoy, to the band.”
Dream Theater has received three GRAMMY nominations and won a GRAMMY in 2022 for Best Metal Performance. Over their four-decade career, they have sold more than 15 million records worldwide.
This concert follows the release of Parasomnia, their 16th studio album, which comes out in February. The 71-minute album is the first with the reunited lineup since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings. It features the single “Night Terror,” along with tracks like “A Broken Man” and “Dead Asleep.” The album concludes with the 19-minute epic, “The Shadow Man Incident.”
Fans can expect a setlist that includes songs from throughout the band’s history, mixing classic hits with new material. Dream Theater last performed in Dubai in October 2017 during their 25th anniversary tour.
