Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse ‘Boots Electric’ Hughes is giving fans an early Christmas present in the form of a special holiday EP, Eagles of Death Metal Presents: A Boots Electric Christmas.
Set for release on November 19, the EP consists of six covers of holiday classics in the unmistakable style of the prolific frontman’s alter ego, including “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, “Little Drummer Boy” and “Little Town Of Bethlehem”. Concluding the release is an acapella rendition of “O Holy Night” featuring Hughes and Eagles of Death Metal bandmate Josh Homme.
“Just a few songs to warm your heart during Christmas time. I hope you like them,” Hughes says of the upcoming EP. “May Christmas bring peace to you all. Happy Hannukah, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, I love you and God bless you all.”
The EP will be available on CD and all digital formats. Fans who pre-order it will immediately receive a download of “O Holy Night”, followed by “Put A Little Love In Your Heart” on October 29.
Eagles of Death Metal will commence their upcoming 24th Anniversary tour of Europe in November, with the first leg taking place entirely in the UK. Support will be provided by Bones UK. A second leg of shows in continental Europe has just been announced for March and April 2022 at the following dates:
