Em Beihold Shares Fan-Favorite ‘Pedestal’And Announces Headline Tour

Singer-songwriter Em Beihold has been treating live audiences to performances of her song “Pedestal” for the past year and a half, and now the fan-favorite has been officially released as a single via Moon Projects/Republic Records.

The jazzy track finds Beihold lamenting the weight of her feelings, as she sings, “when I put you on that pedestal, I put you too damn high. Can’t see your face, stuck in the clouds, you’re in the sky.”

The release of “Pedestal” is accompanied by another big piece of news: the announcement of Beihold’s first North American headline tour kicking off next February. The “Maybe Life Is Good” tour will see the multi-instrumentalist visit an extensive run of cities, including San Francisco, Portland, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Nashville, and many more. See the full list of dates below, and find tickets at embeihold.com/tour.

“I’m so excited to be announcing my first ever headline tour and to also be dropping ‘Pedestal’ this week,” says Em. “I’ve been touring ‘Pedestal’ for a couple of years now, and it’s the last song of that era of music for me, so it feels full circle to announce a new beginning at the same time as closing an old chapter. So much fun, truly 2024 couldn’t come any faster!”

Beihold saw her first major success in 2022 when she released the track “Numb Little Bug,” which has generated over 500 million global streams in addition to cracking the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 and lifting Em to #1 on the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart. The same year, she lent her voice to a duet version of Stephen Sanchez’s “Until I Found You,” which exploded to the tune of over 230 million Spotify streams.
