Emerging Rap Artist Gelo Unveils His First Album, ‘League Of My Own’

Rising rapper Gelo has just dropped his debut album, *League of My Own*. Known as LiAngelo Ball, he made the switch from basketball to music over the past year and is already making waves. This album comes after signing with Def Jam, thanks to the success of his gold-certified single “Tweaker.”

*League of My Own* features 13 tracks, including “Tweaker,” “Can You Please” (featuring GloRilla), “Law N Order,” and his latest hit, “Booted Up.” Gelo recently premiered the album’s opening track, “POLLASEEDS,” on Twitch star Kai Cenat’s channel, where fans vibed to the catchy chorus that shouts, “Bitch I’m from the West Coast.”

While Gelo has shifted from sports to music, his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo still play in the NBA for the Cavaliers and Hornets. They even appeared in the music video for “Tweaker,” which gained traction in the sports community. Lil Wayne also joined in on the remix of the hit.

Gelo chose Def Jam after considering offers from other labels. He said, “Def Jam was the most excited. They had the best deal for real.” He draws inspiration from old-school rap legends like DMX, 50 Cent, and Ice Cube. Although he only started recording at 18, he has been writing since third grade.

Looking ahead, Gelo aims to release the biggest album in 2025 and become one of the top rappers. Check out *League of My Own* now!
