Erykah Badu, Nas, The Roots, And More Set To Headline Smokin Grooves Festival

Smokin Grooves Festival has announced the lineup for the 2022 iteration of their festival. The lineup is headlined by stars such as Erykah Badu, Nas, Miguel, The Roots, Miguel, Jhené Aiko and more.

Other acts set to perform include acts like Smino, Sir, The Internet, Flying Lotus and Thundercat, as well as Roy Ayers, Angie Stone, Musiq Soulchild, Dwele, and many more.

A timeless Neo-Soul experience bridging several generations of artists will take place at the Los Angeles State Historic Park on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

There will be a special presale beginning Friday, December 3 at 10 a.m. PT for guests who sign up for early access to passes online at smokingroovesfestival.com. Following the presale, any remaining tickets still available will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, December 3 at 2 p.m. PT. GA tickets start at $184.99 and VIP tickets (only available for guests 21 years of age and older) start at $399.99.

The lineup announce is an exciting moment for Erykah Badu fans, who has been known to be a hard act to catch on the road. Following a two-year hiatus, it was recently announced that the Love Supreme Jazz Festival will return in 2022 with an exclusive headline show from the queen of neo soul Erykah Badu on Saturday July 2.

Confirmed as Badu’s only UK show of 2022, the massively anticipated festival appearance will be the multi-Grammy-winning star’s first UK performance for three years.

One of the most influential artists of the modern era, Badu’s sound is a lush soundscape blending a multitude of genres including jazz, R&B, funk, soul and hip hop. Triple-platinum certified debut album Baduizm, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2022, won Badu widespread commercial and critical success and earned her comparisons to the likes of Billie Holiday, Lauryn Hill and Stevie Wonder.
