EST Gee Asks, ‘Who’s Hotter Than Gee?’ On New Track And Video

Louisville hip-hop artist EST Gee continues his undeniable winning streak with another confident, captivating song and video, “Who’s Hotter Than Gee.”

The aptly titled track finds Gee flexing his lyrical dexterity and showcasing the self-assured bars fans have become enamored with.

On the track, Gee poses the question, “Who’s hotter?” as if it’s open-ended, but he makes it clear that there’s no doubt he’s one of the most gifted rappers working. Over a beat shuddering with murky 808s and skittering hi-hats, Gee flexes while offering cool threats. It’s alternately heavy and playful, the sign of a rapper who’s enjoying his acclaim, but who’s decidedly not messing around. The accompanying video finds Gee flexing his wealth, rapping with chains so bright you’ll need to wear sunglasses while watching. Effects surround MC in flames, confirming that Gee is the hottest rapper out, literally.

This new track picks up where Gee left off late last year when he gifted his fans Bigger than Life or Death Deluxe, which is still charting on the Billboard 200 and debuted in the Top 10 on US Spotify. The deluxe included collaborations with Yo Gotti, Future, and Moneybagg Yo; amassed recognition from The FADER, Billboard, Complex, and more.

These releases followed the critically acclaimed first installment of Bigger than Life or Death, which marked Gee’s label debut and his first Top 10 appearance on the Billboard 200. That record was an important landmark in a busy 2021 for Gee. He collaborated with and joined fellow Louisville rapper Jack Harlow on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He received co-signs from Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Baby, and more. He topped Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 Chart, captured No.1 on Apple’s All Genre chart, and was crowned “July’s R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Month” by Billboard. He garnered critical acclaim, too, landing on Complex’s list of “the Best Rappers in Their 20s” while Stereogum, Complex, HNHH, and The New York Times crowned Bigger than Life or Death as one of the Best Albums of 2021.
