Evanescence had a big night at the 2025 Hollywood Music in Media Awards held in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The band won in the independent music video category for their song “Afterlife,” which they created for the Netflix series Devil May Cry.
“Afterlife” was also nominated for the song category for a TV show or limited series, competing against Twenty One Pilots’ track “The Line.” However, the award went to Lady Gaga for her song “The Dead Dance” from Wednesday.
Released in March, “Afterlife” marked Evanescence’s first new original music in four years. The song also made history for the band by reaching #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
Fans are excited to see what’s next for Evanescence after this successful comeback!
